RACHEL
McLAIN
As a teenager in Northeast Washington, Rachel
couldn't wait to escape to the beautiful Puget Sound region. Her career plans included becoming a physical therapist,
or a police officer, or remodeling houses for profit. Rachel never dreamed that 20 years later she would be involved with
the best career choice ever: interior design and flooring! "This business gives me the opportunity to help my clients
realize their dream spaces. I love the creativity I am allowed. And the best feeling ever is a job well done, when my clients
are so pleased with a project." In her spare time, Rachel loves to spend time with her family and friends, and can often
be found on the slopes skiing, or riding her bike-both recreationally and competitively. To reach Rachel please email her
at rachel@cartozian.com or call 253.474.8433.

KIM OCHS A Tri-Cities native, Kim Ochs felt the call of precipitation and quickly moved to
Western Washington after finishing school. After years of residing in tumbleweed ridden eastern Washington, Kim welcomes
walking down Ruston on a rainy day. Her involvement in the design industry has metamorphisized in recent years giving
her a unique perspective on historical design, green building, and regional design. Her position at Cartozian has allowed
her to continue to master her craft and help create beautiful spaces in the spirit of excellence and functionality.
Kim, her husband Chris, her son Jacob and their dog Snarf, reside in Tacoma. She can be heard serenading the staff with
silly songs, baking cookies for installers or keeping her nose in a good book, usually borrowed from Rachel. To reach
Kim please email her at kim@cartozian.com or call 253.474.8433.

ATHARVA ROETTER From the age of 6 Atharva Roetters life was influenced by art and design.
Growing up, it seemed her mother was always redecorating and her father often took her antiquing on Sundays. It was
no surprise to her family and friends when she made her career change to the field of interior design. Atharva has a
degree in Interior Design and specializes in bathroom design. The challenge of this often unique space, its configurations,
and the wonderful materials available are appealing to her. Helping clients select the products that best reflect their
dreams and lifestyle is my favorite thing about the field of design. In her free time Atharva loves to hike in the forest
near her home with her husband and work in her garden where she grows heirloom vegetables and raises her small flock of chickens.
