This walkout basement turned media room was an exciting design challenge. The shell of the room was built to contain several alcoves of varying sizes. Within most of the alcoves, there was a lower foundation wall projecting into the space. To maximize storage, custom cabinets were designed for each alcove with a reverse kick on the backside to accommodate the foundation wall. Accent lighting was added to each alcove to highlight family photos. A custom bar was added to an elevated platform at the back of the room; a perfect spot to entertain before watching a movie.
