We are a team of licensed design professionals, each bringing our unique expertise in areas like space planning, cabinetry, lighting, and finishes. Together, we combine our skills to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional—tailored to every client through our shared passion for design and collaboration.
RACHEL MCLAIN
Rachel is the principal of Cartozian Flooring and Interiors. She acts as project manager, designer, and helps clients create their dream spaces. Rachel is passionate about Tacoma and has been taking care of the flooring and design needs of it's residents for over 25 years.

​"This business gives me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people as well as reconnect with clients I helped years ago. There's nothing better than coming back to a space I assisted with in the past and finding the homeowners are still pleased."

​In her spare time, Rachel loves to spend time with her family and friends, and can often be found mountain biking or skiing in the Cascades.

CARLIE SCHALER
Carlie is an Interior Designer at Cartozian Flooring and Interiors. She graduated from Clover Park Technical College with a degree in Interior Design, and a certificate in Sustainable Design. In addition, Carlie obtained a degree in Art, providing a comprehensive understanding and approach to design.
​"The interior design process allows me to transform a vision into a tangible reality. I love meeting with clients, hearing their wants and needs, and designing a space that complements their lifestyle."​
In her free time, Carlie loves to stay active, spend time outdoors, and puzzle. She spends most of her time with family, friends, and her two cats.

MARIAH DE FERRANTE
Mariah is a proud member of the team at Cartozian Flooring and Interiors. She graduated from Clover Park Technical College with a degree in Interior Design and a certificate in Kitchen & Bath, and she is an active member of the NKBA Puget Sound Chapter.

Mariah loves networking and being involved in the design industry, connecting with others who share her passion and learning from every experience. In her free time, she enjoys crafts, keeping busy with friends and family, and relaxing with her two cats.
